Successful sale of Oldham-based manned security contractor

Knightsbridge have completed the successful sale of A P Security just 9 months after coming to the market.

The Oldham-based manned security contractor was sold within the initial 12 month agreement for £120,000 to private buyer Mr Andy O’Halloran.

Established in 2006, A P Security is an SIA approved contractor responsible for safeguarding a number of businesses and commercial properties throughout the North West. Services include; Industrial & commercial security, Static guards, Mobile patrols, Key-holding and alarm response.

The opportunity to acquire A P Security was not short of interest, with 8 viewings arranged by Knightsbridge and 2 offers received before Mr O'Halloran completed the acquisition.

Established in 1998, TCOM Security is recognised as a leading supplier of specialist security services providing design, installation and maintenance packages to both private and commercial sector clients along with numerous retailers and homeowners.

The business provides a range of unique services through their own multi-disciplined personnel to ensure each customer is dealt with by a single individual from enquiry through to completion and handover of all projects. The business is also one of only a few small companies able to satisfy projects that include any number or combination of: Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Intruder Alarms, Alarm Monitoring, CCTV Surveillance, Access Control, Automatic Gates, Traffic Barriers and Bollards and Pedestrian Turnstiles.

The business has developed an unrivalled reputation which has led to it successfully trading all over the region with an active client base of over 200 clients with solid recurring maintenance and monitoring income.
The acquirer, Systema Fire & Security operates in a similar sector, designing, implementing and installing various security systems.

The business was offered up to the market due to our clients plans to retire, and was sold just 10 months later for £130,000.

Specialist monitoring services company sold

Eastern Monitoring Services was sold by Knightsbridge business sales in July 2014, just 10 months after being offered up to the market.

Established in 2009 and under ownership of the vendor since 2011, the company specialises in CCTV System Design, LIVE CCTV Monitoring and Security Consultancy to project integrators, facility managers, national installers and individual end user business clients.

The Norfolk based business has organically grown over the years to provide a one stop CCTV security solutions package for its clients. The Company has around 23 customers who all use the Live CCTV security services to save on full time manned security.

The business can be fully relocated, presenting an ideal bolt on opportunity to an existing security company. The current customer base covers Suffolk, Norfolk, Sheffield, Coventry and Slough. The vendor was fully active in the business and, assisted by 5 CCTV operators to oversee the cameras.

The business was acquired by Integrated Security Solutions firm Brooknight who intend to use it as a bolt-on business.

Senior negotiator Samantha Wright revealed that the opportunity generated a high amount of interest from similar security businesses and the transaction was quick and straightforward.
