The New Inn Hotel in York Sold by Knightsbridge

The long established New Inn Motel in York, a motel incorporating a four bedroom house, is situated in an attractive location and has been owned by our client since 1996.

Seeking a genuine retirement sale, they were pleased to finally secure a sale on the business in September 2012 to buyer Paul McGrath, for an impressive value of £475,000. Paul will live and work in the business full time, as there are no additional staff. Although the business was on the market for quite some time, it attracted lots of viewings and 4 offers in total.

Negotiator Samantha Wright of Knightsbridge had a great relationship with both the buyer and vendor, and emphasises that it was worth the wait to get the right deal, quoting “We got there in the end!” She would like to wish our client a very happy retirement.

The Dixie Arms Hotel in Warwickshire Sold by Knightsbridge

The Dixie Arms Hotel, a Pub/Restaurant with additional Letting Rooms in Nuneaton, Warwickshire was sold in July 2012 to new owners.

The attractive location combined with recently renovated premises incorporating a superbly appointed and spacious public house with restaurant, function rooms and four en-suite guest bedrooms, in addition to owner accommodation secured a great deal of interest throughout its time on the market.

Knightsbridge wishes both parties the best of luck with their future endeavours.

Cumbria based Hotel and Restaurant Sold

Kelsey Hotel, an attractive detached country house hotel and restaurant in Cumbria, has been owned by our clients, a husband and wife team since 1992, who were looking for a planned exit towards retirement.

The buyer, Mrs Carr of Skiddaw View Holiday Park Limited, purchased the business for £410,000 in June 2012, and plans to refurbish the premises, which at present has 6 en-suite letting bedrooms and a 68 cover restaurant spread across 2 dining areas, to convert into self catering accommodation. Mrs Carr, a cash buyer, placed a deposit to secure the sale.

Sales negotiator Samantha Wright would like to thank both parties for a smooth transaction, and wishes our clients all the best in their retirement.
