Knightsbridge Business Sales have successfully completed the sale of a tea room and cake shop, for £22,000.

Jessica’s Tea Shop was established over 30 years ago in the small village of Weekley, just outside of Kettering, Northamptonshire. The tea room offers an extensive menu with a daily specials board and a special-occasion high tea, including a selection of mouth-watering cakes.

The business premise is located on a sought-after estate and includes a 3-bedroom cottage as part of the lease, as well as plenty of outdoor space.

Our client decided to instruct our services due to personal circumstances. The team at Knightsbridge Business Sales generated a great deal of interest, with 16 buyer viewings arranged, out of which two offers were made. The business was sold within 11 months of coming to market, and was purchased by private buyers who intend to work in the business on a full-time basis, taking over the vendors roles as well as retaining the 2 part-time members of staff.

Mr Bites Sandwich Bar and Café, a well-established Yorkshire-base café, has been purchased, as advised by Knightsbridge Business Sales.

Based in Castleford, West Yorkshire, the business has been established for over ten years, and has been under the direction of the current owner for over twelve months. Over this time, Mr Bites has been able to develop an enviable reputation and an excellent customer base, through a commitment to delivering quality products and a fantastic service.

Alongside a strong takeaway trade, Mr Bites also generates income from outside catering and two sign written vans that deliver goods to a large number of local businesses. Significant growth opportunities also existed with the development of the new Castleford Tigers rugby stadium being built approximately half a mile from the current premises. Due to the close proximity and size of the construction, the business has positively benefitted from increasing custom and reputation.

With intentions of pursuing other business interests, the owner of Mr Bites approached Knightsbridge and made the decision to sell. The business was sold to a private buyer, who hoped to continue running the day-to-day life of the business with the help of most of the original staff members.

Cocoa Caffe Ltd, based in Coventry has been successfully sold to a private buyer.

The coffee shop was established in 2005 but ran as a “B & B’s” franchise and converted to its current brand in 2010. Our client took ownership in 2013 and has continued to see business levels grow during this time.

A strong brand which gives the feel of a national chain coupled with an enviable City Centre location means the business attracts new customers to its growing repeat client base throughout the year.

Our client put the business up for sale to lifestyle change. After Knightsbridge Business Sales generated 13 viewings, private buyer, Sahil Aggarwal purchased the business and intends to work there full-time.

Gardenia Cafe in Walsall has been successfully sold to new owners

Knightsbridge have successfully completed the sale of Gardenia Cafe in Walsall.

Gardenia operates as a café and takeaway offering a traditional menu of hot and cold sandwiches, hot and cold beverages and also daily specials.

The business was established 65 years ago and was under our client’s ownership for the past 17 years.

Due to its excellent town centre position adjacent to the bus station, the business benefits from a large amount of passing trade in addition to its regular customer base.

Occupying a well presented two storey premises; Gardenia has 28 internal covers over the two floors as well as 26 external. The business was placed on the market as a profitable concern due to our clients wishes to pursue other interests.

The opportunity generated 22 buyer meetings before being successfully sold to private buyer Mr Williams in March 2015.

Cafe in County Durham sold by Knightsbridge

Located in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, Nana’s Kitchen has been established for 22 years and under the ownership of our clients since 2010. The cafe and takeaway serves a menu of traditional café fare utilising quality produce sourced locally whenever possible. An outside catering service is also available for business lunches to christenings and birthday parties.

Operating from spacious detached premises in the centre of a busy business and industrial estate the cafe mainly serves the workers from the area, however being on the main road through the park and enjoying convenient off road parking the café also serves many passers by.

The business trades from superbly presented detached premises which comprise of an open plan 18 cover dining room, a service counter to the rear with preparation area behind and a wash and storage room to one side and fully equipped kitchen to the other.

The business was sold to private buyer Mrs Hume for £30,000.

Knightsbridge have completed the sale of Goodies Cafe in Widnes. The business was purchased by Linda MacMillan who will work in the business full time.

L18 Cafe in Liverpool has been sold to new owners after just six months on the market.

Located in the Mossley Hill area of Liverpool the cafe offers a varied menu and is well established having been under current ownership for the last 3½ years. The business is a popular destination for many regular diners from the local area and many passers by who are attracted by its prominent signage being just off a busy main road.

The new owners, Mr & Mrs Roberts plan to work in the business full time whilst retaining the existing staff. This is their first business venture and Knightsbridge wish them the best of luck.
