Knightsbridge Business Sales has successfully completed the sale of Afton Service Station for a final value of £125,000.

Having been in operation for almost 60 years, this successful petrol station and garage carries out servicing and MOTs for all makes of vehicle, and significant volumes of repair work plus strong sales of tyres, exhausts and batteries.

Afton Service Station is located on a main road, close to the centre of New Cumnock, Ayrshire. The business has performed consistently well throughout its trading history, with thanks to a strong database of regular and repeat customers, the majority of whom are based within a ten-mile radius of the premises.

Knightsbridge Business Sales identified that, under the direction of a new owner, the business could thrive and grow through the implementation of an active database, some advertising in local newspapers, and persistent leaflet drops, which would help to increase existing levels of business and build new trading relationships.

Afton Service Station was eventually sold to a private buyer, who hopes to grow the business in the coming years and use the purchase as an investment opportunity.

West Drayton based Petrol Station and General Store sold to new owners

Established for over 30 years, West Drayton Express Stores is a £2.5m turnover Petrol Station and general store situated on a main road close to Heathrow Airport. The business is unopposed, and if efficiently run with additional opening hours would certainly result in increased sales across all the product ranges. There is a 5 year Texaco fuel supply agreement in place that started in April 2013.

The business is situated in a densely populated area with the nearest competition being approximately 2 miles away.

West Drayton Express Stores operates from a main road location with a large forecourt. There are 2 x 6 Pump Terminals and parking to the front. Sited on a busy main road, in the thriving residential area of Little Hulton in Bolton, Lancashire, the location affords the business significant levels of passing custom and good regular trade. An offer was received on the business after only one month of marketing, and the new owner acquired the business for £325,000 in January 2013, intending to work in the business on a full time basis.

Armadale Jet filling station in Bathgate, Scotland has been sold to new owners through Knightsbridge for a fee of £425,000.

The filling station, located on a busy main road between Edinburgh and Glasgow and with an annual turnover in the region of £3.5 million had been run by the existing owners for over 5 years. It includes three commercial properties, leased to other parties generating additional income.

Our clients took the decision to sell the business in order to retire from working life and received two offers, including that from the successful purchaser, Femi Olukaya
