The convenience store was established in 2006 and was moved to its current location in 2011. Occupying a main road location in Malvern, Worcestershire, the business experienced high weekly turnover.

Our client chose to place the business on the market in order to pursue other business interests. Once on the market, the business had received a good amount of interest with an offer being made by Steve Berry who purchased on behalf of Martin McColl Ltd. The staff are to be retained and the business will be changed to a Martin McColl Ltd convenience store.

Knightsbridge have completed the £575,000 sale of this popular Convenience Store located in Sevenoaks, Kent.

The business has been established for 28 years, offering Newspapers, Magazines, Alcohol, National Lottery, Groceries, Paypoint, Confectionery, Cards and Tobacco.

Generating a weekly turnover of £16,000, the business benefits from occupying a prominent position within a small parade of shops. The main shop floor consist of a large counter  as well as magazine and newspaper display racking, shelving throughout the shop, chest freezers and a large chiller display.

There is a separate entrance at the rear to the 2 Bedroom flat above which briefly comprises of a Kitchen, Lounge, Double Bedroom, Single Bedroom and Bathroom.

The business was offered for sale in June 2014 and was bought by private buyer Antonio Benedict.

The opportunity generated 6 viewings and 3 offers before a deal was agreed with Mr Benedict.

Convenience Store and Post Office in Shrewsbury sold to new owners

Londis convenience store and post office in Worthen, Shrewsbury, has been successfully sold to new owners. The final consideration was £330,000 plus stock at value for the business and freehold property which also includes a 3 bed cottage.

The business, which generates a turnover in excess of £500,000 annually, stocks a wide range of convenience items, garden products and animal feeds as well as housing a post office facility.

The store is located in the village of Worthen, with a number of surrounding villages within the direct catchment area of the business, which lies just a short drive from the Anglo/Welsh border.

The business was brought to the market by Knightsbridge due to the outgoing owner’s intentions to retire after running the business for over 15 years.

The buyer, Mr John Perks, was one of a number of interested parties which resulted in multiple bids for the business.

Established for over 20 years and operated by our clients since 2000, Coronation Stores is a sandwich bar and convenience store located in Gedling, Nottingham. Our client had decided that the time was right to sell the business in order for them to retire.

 The business offers its customers off licence products such as groceries, confectionary and tobacco as well as hot and cold sandwiches which are made fresh to order.

The semi-detached ground floor lock up comprises of a sales area with counter, store room, kitchen, preparation area and WC.

The surrounding area is mainly residential and there is also a large secondary school and Sixth Form College nearby, which provides a rich source of custom along with the many regular customers and the high volume of passing trade.

The business was purchased in January 2015 by private buyers Mr and Mrs Gift who both wanted to run their own business upon their return from living abroad.

The business was established over 17 years ago and achieves an average weekly turnover of £18,000 and is set to increase further with the pending introduction of a Lotto terminal.

Revenue is generated from the sale of convenience goods and groceries, alcohol, tobacco products, confectionary and many other high margin sundry products. The business trades from an impressive ground floor lock up with a 300sq ft (approx) trading floor in addition to a spacious store room and WC. The shop floor is very well fitted complete with a valuable range of chillers and freezers.

Knightsbridge Business Sales announces sale of convenience store and off licence

Thurnby Express is an established convenience store/off licence which has been under the ownership of our clients since 1985 who decided to offer it up to the market in order to retire.

The business has steadily developed an enviable reputation, resulting in a large local loyal customer base and high amounts of repeat custom. Much of the store’s trade is generated from the surrounding densely populated area as well as high footfall and passing trade from daily commuters.

The shop supplies a wide range of goods, including frozen foods, dairy products, newspapers and magazines, fresh bread, fruit and vegetables and general household goods, as well as being an off-licence.

The eventual acquirer, private buyer Mr Ashis Sisodia, found the business through one a third party website utilised by Knightsbridge. The new owner will continue to trade through the store as an owner run business.

The business was sold less than 6 months after being placed onto the market. Two offers were received within one month and the eventual deal was to the value of £240,000.

Established for over 20 years and owned and managed by our clients since 2003, a large amount of capital has been invested into the business which now stands in excellent order throughout with a full complement of quality fixtures and fittings, chillers, freezers, CCTV and an industry leading EPOS system.
