Knightsbridge have successfully sold Blooming Tails Pet Shop to new owners Mr and Mrs Quigley, after less than a year on the market. 

The well established pet store is attractively located in the centre of Market Drayton and provides a wide range of pet food, toys, bedding, books and accessories including leads, grooming products and health supplements. The business offered the buyers huge scope to develop the business further, and utilise the spacious premises, including a basement to their full advantage.

Established for over 40 years, and having been in the hands of our client for 5 years, the business provides a vital Post Office counter service to local residents, and also sells a full range of convenience goods, alcohol and tobacco. 

Well located, and offering off road parking, the business offered plenty of scope for development. The vendor, wishing to exit the business to focus on other business interests, was pleased with the high levels of interest achieved by Knightsbridge, including 4 offers and 15 viewings. 

The buyers, Mr and Mrs Pratt, were keen to take advantage of the superb trading position and low rent, and in a sale handled by senior negotiator Leanne Boulding of Knightsbridge, they acquired the business in November 2012, intending to work in the business on a full time basis. Apple Jacks Home Care Ltd, a Care Agency based in County Durham, has been sold by Knightsbridge to new owner Stuart Carlton of Choice Healthcare Group. Mr Carlton has invested heavily in this industry, and has acquired several domiciliary care businesses in the through Knightsbridge previously. 

Apple Jacks Home Care Ltd was established in 2001 by our client to offer quality domiciliary care services to the highest standard, and was awarded a 3* CQC rating to reflect this, which helped to win the contractual works and private clients whom the business serves. 

An offer was received within only 3 weeks of the business coming to the market, and the deal, handled by experienced negotiator Samantha Wright, completed in November 2012, enabling our client to relocate.

Upper Crust in Halesowen Sold by Knightsbridge


Knightsbridge are delighted to announce the recent sale of Upper Crust, a Sandwich Bar based in Halesowen, to new owner Mr Frost who has recently moved into the area and intends to work in the business full time.  

The well established and highly respected business has been under the ownership of our client since 2002. Situated on a main road, and well presented throughout, it offers a range of hot and cold sandwiches alongside fresh bread and cakes that are brought in daily from a local bakery, and also extends its catering proposition to include outside catering and business lunches which it delivers locally. 

Managed by senior negotiator Gemma Moss, the deal completed in November 2012 and will allow the vendor an exit towards retirement. After what was a long sale, Gemma is delighted we could achieve a successful sale for our client, and would like to wish them the best of luck in their retirement.
