Scotland based Café Leo Sold by Knightsbridge

Café Leo, is a well established family business based in Greenock, Scotland, and boasts high weekly takings. Occupying a great location in a busy shopping centre and with seating for 42, the business receives a high volume of footfall. 

One of our most experienced negotiators on the Knightsbridge team, Leanne Boulding, was able to attract a good number of viewings on the business, and one offer, securing a sale for £100,000 in September 2012. New owner Steve Stewart intends to work in the business full time. Border Office Supplies Sold by Knightsbridge


Border Office Supplies, an Office Equipment and Stationery Suppliers based in Alfreton has been sold by Knightsbridge in an exciting eleventh hour deal. 

The highly regarded business was established in 1984 by our clients, providing a comprehensive range of products to the office and business market place including stationery, computers, machines, accessories, consumables and furniture. 

Having been on the market for a year, and with the owners desperate to retire, they decided to close down the business. Not giving up, and in a final last attempt to try and generate a sale, deal negotiator and Knightsbridge manager Gemma Moss continued to contact trade buyers with complementary or synergistic companies. This attracted the attention of trade buyer Chris Hall from The Green Ink Co. He immediately saw the opportunity for a bolt-on to his existing business, offering significant scope for expansion. 

The deal completed for the value of £40,000 in September 2012. Gemma would like to wish both parties the best of luck in the future.

North Yorkshire based Newsagents and Convenience Store Sold


Central Stores, a Newsagents and Convenience Store in Malton, North Yorkshire, has been sold by Knightsbridge for £349,000.

The well established business has been under the ownership of our clients since 2004 and has gained an excellent reputation. The modern freehold premises, which also offers four bedroom accommodation, attracted the attention of Mr and Mrs Kelly, private buyers, who intend to work in the business full time. 

Manager Gemma Moss handled the sale, which completed in September 2012, and extends her best wishes to both parties.

Cheshire based Hair and Beauty Salon Sold


Established in 2007, Headquarters of Nantwich Ltd, a popular hair and beauty salon based in Nantwich, Cheshire, occupies a prominent position, with high weekly takings of £5,000. 

The business offers a full range of hair and beauty treatments and has 8 hair workstations, 2 nail bars, 2 beauty rooms and a dedicated spray tan room. Our client, having owned the business since 2007, was seeking to exit due to wishing to relocate, and instructed Knightsbridge to handle the sale. 

The deal, handled by senior negotiator Leanne Boulding, was completed in September 2012, with a value of £55,000. The buyer was Darren Roe of Gregory Roe Ltd in the same trade. Darren saw it as an opportunity to bolt-on to his existing salon chain, and run it under management with the existing staff being retained. Leanne would like to wish our client the best of luck in her future endeavours.

Merseyside based Post Office Sold by Knightsbridge


Rainhill Post Office based in Prescot, Merseyside, has been sold by Knightsbridge for £75,000 to private buyer Alison Skarratts, who will work in the business on a full time basis. 

Owned by our clients for 23 years, they wished to retire, and were therefore pleased when the deal was completed in September 2012, just over 6 months after being on the market. Boasting an excellent trading position, with high passing trade, and plenty of scope to increase on this, it attracted good levels of interest, receiving an offer within only 2 months of being on the market.

The New Inn Hotel in York Sold by Knightsbridge


The long established New Inn Motel in York, a motel incorporating a four bedroom house, is situated in an attractive location and has been owned by our client since 1996. 

Seeking a genuine retirement sale, they were pleased to finally secure a sale on the business in September 2012 to buyer Paul McGrath, for an impressive value of £475,000. Paul will live and work in the business full time, as there are no additional staff. Although the business was on the market for quite some time, it attracted lots of viewings and 4 offers in total.

Carlton Recycling Ltd, a recycling and waste collection contractor based in Lincolnshire, has been sold by Knightsbridge in a genuine retirement sale for a deal value of £365,000. 

The highly reputable business, established by our clients in 2004, rapidly expanded to become one of Lincolnshire’s leading independent contractors, specialising in the collection and transfer of general waste and recyclable refuse and boasting a prestigious client base. 

This attracted the attention of Steven Crook of Ellgia Recycling in the same industry, who made an offer and moved forward with what negotiator Samantha Wright highlights was a straight forward and quick sale, completing in September 2012. She would like to extend her warmest wishes to both parties for the future.

Otley Post Office Sold by Knightsbridge


Established in 2001, Otley Post Office offers a very high Post Office Salary, with low rent, situated in an affluent area. It is therefore no surprise that whilst on the market with Knightsbridge, the business attracted a very high level of viewings, and multiple offers, resulting in a sale for £118,000 in September 2012, to buyers Martin and Pearl Goldthorpe. 

The sale will allow our clients to relocate, and Martin will take over the full time running of the business, with all existing staff to remain with the business.
